Kiran is a family lawyer, mediator, and TEDx speaker fuelled by her passion for people, education, and innovative thinking.

Kiran's practice is marked by her unique approach to blending legal expertise with a deep understanding of human dynamics. A self-proclaimed student of human behaviour, Kiran engages in some form of study, whether legal or otherwise, every day.

With over a decade of family law experience, Kiran is adept at swiftly identifying the heart of the issue underlying a family law dispute. Her goal is to empower individuals to work through their disagreements in a productive way that prioritizes their family's emotional and financial well-being. She provides clients with practical and pragmatic solutions tailored to their unique circumstances and objectives.

Kiran regularly advises clients in the complex areas of asset and debt division, spousal support, and matters pertaining to children, including guardianship, parental rights and responsibilities, child support, and parenting time.

In addition, Kiran is skilled at drafting agreements, including Cohabitation, Marriage, and Separation Agreements.

Kiran strives to assist her clients to reach out of court settlements; however, she is prepared to take matters to court when appropriate and necessary.

As an experienced litigator, Kiran successfully represents clients in both the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia.

Kiran enjoys a challenge and takes pride in her ability to think outside the box. As an accredited Family Law Mediator by the Law Society of British Columbia, Kiran provides mediation services to self-represented individuals as well as those represented by counsel in lawyer-assisted mediation.

Kiran is also an editor for practice based family law books in BC.

Personal Life

Outside of work, Kiran enjoys long walks by the water with a coffee in hand, spending time with her young son and dog, reading, and exploring the City.

She is a proud first generation South Asian Canadian and is fluent in Punjabi. Providing legal services to her community in a way that honours cultural nuances is important to her.
